This film follows Loïc, a young Frenchman living in London who has just learned of his positive HIV status. In his fight against the virus, his own prejudices and social stigma, we finally see him fully invest in his new existence.

Loïc, 26 years old, sought refuge in London, far from his humble village beginnings. He is able to live his gay life with anonymity amongst the cosmopolitan backdrop of London, away from scrutiny and perplexed glances.

He’s stopped in his tracks by terrible news; he contracted HIV. It’s the shock. AIDS, we know the name, but in 2018 Gen Y are not scared of it anymore. Until it happens to you.

This film delves intimately into Loïc’s life just as it takes a dramatic turn. A vivid and contemporary testimony at the heart of a young HIV positive life. This documentary follows his doubts and journey into a new life.

After the shock and denial, binding resolutions come; the end of sexual relationships, smoking, partying. Then the beginning of the treatment. The painful side effects, nausea, exhaustion, nightmares. The fear of a disease you can not see, under the skin, in the blood, like an invisible evil that infiltrates itself everywhere.

We see Loïc embarking on this new journey with HIV, from the initial diagnose, to self-acceptation. Plagued with self-derision and still facing a dilemma, how to tell others, most importantly his parents, or to keep his status a secret from the world.

His return to dating apps materialises his fears. The bombardment of messages are replaced by chilling silence, and even aggressive attacks.

On return to his hometown, will Loic find the strength to face his biggest fear? To tell his parents his secret. How will he be free from the shame? The camera follows him on his revealing journey back home.

Will he be able to share his secret life with his parents?
