In this access all areas series, much loved British presenter Paul O’Grady immerses himself into life at one of the best children hospitals in the world. Telling their stories with compassion and empathy, and using his trademark uplifting humour, Paul meets the remarkably brave children receiving treatments across the many departments, from neurology to orthopaedics and cardiology to dermatology.
Having been a children’s care worker in his twenties, Paul is no stranger to hospitals or to helping kids through difficult times. In this series, Paul gets hands on as he supports children and their parents providing a good dose of laughs where he can – from the moment they arrive to the day they are later discharged.
Paul also explores some of the more unusual and unexpected parts of the hospital, meeting the unsung heroes who work in the kitchens, school and chapel.
This charming series is a tribute to children’s incredible resilience and positivity.
