Ibiza
Neil Masey and Affy Wajid are looking for a holiday home on Ibiza where they can escape from their busy lives in Brighton. The couple enjoy the party lifestyle of the island with its clubs and restaurants, and already have friends living here. Having their own place would allow them to entertain, but would also be a base to explore the natural Mediterranean landscape. Scarlette Douglas sets out to help them find their dream property for £150,000.

Mallorca
Rodney and Lynda Palliser from Hertfordshire are looking for an apartment on Mallorca, close to the marina of the island’s capital Palma where their son lives and works. They want somewhere that will help to draw the extended family together. They are house hunting in an upmarket, cosmopolitan city – so will Laura Hamilton be able to help them find their dream property within the £100,000 budget?

Oliva
Now that her children have grown up and are ready to leave home, Ruth Jobey wants to escape from her busy London life to the relaxed town of Oliva on Spain’s Costa Azahar, or ‘orange blossom coast’. She wants a detached villa with a swimming pool and views, where she can continue her work as a virtual PA but also entertain family and friends. With their grown-up daughter Jenna and grand-daughter already living next door, Jo decided a holiday home would be the perfect way for the WHOLE family to spend quality time together. With a budget of £65,000 Jasmine Harman shows Jo and Jenna five properties along Spain’s Orihuela Costa region of the Costa Blanca.

Almeria
Derek Hansel and Gina Awoko from Birmingham have fallen in love with the unspoiled countryside of Almeria in Spain. They are looking for a property that they can eventually retire to but that will also bring in some rental income. For their budget of £300,000 Jasmine Harman shows them an amazing range of properties, from a coastal renovation project to an incredible inland cortijo, but can she deliver the perfect property in the perfect location?

Mallorca
Having sold a successful business, Ruth and Philip Trinder from Northamptonshire want to buy an apartment on the Balearic island of Mallorca, where they can spend half the year. They want somewhere they can entertain family and friends, within easy walking distance of one of the island’s stylish ports. With a budget of £300,000 – or more for something special – Laura Hamilton sets out to help them find something with the contemporary look they love.

Picardy
Debra Mann from Reading has fallen in love with the Bay of the Somme in the north of France – just a stone’s throw from Calais – where she often spends the weekend with sister Maria. Debra has set her heart on a holiday getaway where she and Maria can spend time with family and friends. Scarlette Douglas shows the sisters a selection of properties for a £64,000 budget, with plenty of surprises along the way.

Loire Valley
Martin and Michelle MacClay from Wiltshire have long dreamt of having a holiday home in France to escape from their busy lives along with their 13 year-old daughter Caitlin. They have chosen the Loire Valley as their perfect location because of its landscapes, rivers, historic chateaux and wonderful food. Scarlette Douglas sets out to help them find a holiday home for a budget of £73,000 where they will be able to enjoy the relaxed French way of life.

Limousin
Londoners Gary Fitzgerald and Shahine Korimbocus want a holiday home in the tranquil Limousin area of France where they can enjoy an outdoor lifestyle with their 20-month old twins Charlie and Catherine, and Gary’s son Dominic. Brought up with French culture in Mauritius, Shahine wants the children to share her enjoyment of it, and to pick up the language. With a budget of £88,000, Scarlette Douglas sets out to help the couple find their perfect house.

Charente
Francophiles Madeline and Andy Morton from Portsmouth are looking for a holiday home they can fly or drive to in the beautiful rural landscapes of the Charente region in West-Central France. With cash savings of £45,000, they’re hoping for a traditional 2-bedroom home with charm and character. Scarlette Douglas shows them five properties, hoping that one will be their dream house.

Lot Et Garonne
Karen Wright and Phil Johnston from County Durham dream of retiring to rural France, they have picked the region of Let et Garonne in the South West of the country as the perfect spot to realise their plans to foster stray dogs. Jonnie Irwin sets out to help Karen and Philip find the right property for a budget of £100,000 which has enough land to accommodate all their rescue dogs, as well as the five they already have.

Silver Coast
Steph Fessey and Andy Wynn from Hampshire have decided to move to Portugal’s Silver coast to enjoy its weather and relaxing lifestyle. Now that Steph has retired and Andy only works part of the year, they are looking for a house with a spacious garden where they can enjoy the outdoor life and entertain their children and grandchildren. Jasmine Harman shows them five properties with lovely views of the countryside affordable within their £135,000 budget.

Abruzzo
Ali Harris and Steve Ashby from Poole are dreaming of retiring to Italy to run a very English B&B. They have fallen for rural Abruzzo in the centre of the country, a mountainous region with a narrow coastal strip and glorious beaches. With a budget of £100,000, Jasmine Harman sets out to find them a run-down property which they can gradually refurbish over the next few years before finally taking the plunge and moving permanently.

Cinque Terre
Now that her children are grown up, single mum of four Helen Broomhead from Cheshire is longing for a bolthole in the picturesque Cinque Terre region of Italy with its five fishing villages, where she can escape from the pressures of day-to-day life. Helen doesn’t care how big her holiday home is, as long it is near to shops and restaurants and has bags of Italian charm. With best friend Charlotte Thompson on hand to advise and a budget of £100,000, Jasmine Harman takes her to see five properties in the hope of finding the perfect one.

Hvar Island
Full-time academic Rosie from Ascot in Berkshire has fallen for the Croatian Island of Hvar, and is hoping to find the perfect getaway where she can both work and relax in the company of friends and family – and which will also have solid rental potential when she isn’t using it. On the hunt for something quiet but not too secluded, Ben Hillman shows Rosie and her mum Melissa a selection of apartments and a house within a budget of £80,000.

Lucca
Hardworking couple Lynn and Lee Fox from Rotherham in Yorkshire fell madly in love with Italy when engineer Lee worked for an Italian steel company. Ever since, they have dreamt of having a holiday home in the country where they can enjoy the relaxed, family-friendly lifestyle, food and culture, and where they could eventually retire. Lee has set his heart being able to relax under his very own olive tree, so Laura Hamilton sets out with them to see if she can find a traditional property within easy reach of the historic walled town of Lucca for a budget of £170,000 that has just the kind of tree Lee is dreaming of.
