Play Trailer Play Screener Contact SalesJessie Inchauspé is a New York Times best-selling author, a qualified bio-chemist and a global phenomenon with 4 million followers on Instagram! Now, she wants to kickstart a revolution… and it all starts with Glucose.
At the spine of the series is a mass experiment where ordinary people will be asked to log what they eat and how they feel, all while wearing a sleep, recovery and blood glucose monitor. Reviewing the data at key points during each hour reveals some eye-opening findings, from insufficient sleep, sudden bouts of fatigue, irregular bowel movements, frequent urination and more.
Glucose is the single most important determinant of human health. Derived from carbohydrates and found in everything from nuts and fruits to grains and sugar, glucose is the most important source of energy in all living organisms. But get too much of it in too short a space of time, and you open yourself up to problems all the way from the hunger pangs that cause obesity to insomnia, fatigue, diabetes, heart disease and even cancer. If society can master its glucose levels, then the world's health will be changed forever.
Jessie wants to kickstart a revolution using the latest science to transform not just what people eat, but how and when they eat it, in a bid to radically improve almost every aspect of people's health.

By sifting through scientific data, she reveals the dietary secrets of those who report the most sleep, the highest energy levels and – of course – the best-performing bowels. Revealing why those who eat vegetables for lunch don’t seem to experience a 3pm slump, why fans of brown rice sleep better than those who eat white, and why people who consume cake are more likely to experience constipation.
During the second week of the experiment, the cast of 100 subjects stick to ‘the Glucose Method’ a programme designed by Jessie to help people bring their glucose levels under control. The results are astonishing. Just about every metric of their health - from rem sleep to body fat, and from their moods to their ability to concentrate - has been improved.
Jessie is assisted throughout the process by charismatic on-screen chef, Dr Rupy, who helps her to design a series of recipes tailored to each patient. These are incredibly simple dishes that anyone can make and viewers can embed her science-backed hacks into this content to deliver great takeaway.
