Over 10 episodes the enthusiastic dudes and yokels must compete to be the best Cowboy or Cowgirl. From learning to ride their own horse to lassoing and branding the cattle, they are out to impress the Rancher and become the ultimate Cowboy or Cowgirl.
Under the supervision of the Head Rancher, the celebs learn the pressures involved in managing a Ranch. Each celeb, some having never ridden before, are given a horse to look after as they absorb the ways of cowboy life, from learning to lasso to branding the cattle, all leading up to the epic final when they join experienced Cowboys on a Cattle Drive.
In the first week the celebs find their feet as they adjust – expect lots of fun and hilarity as they take part in line dancing competitions and come to grips with the unfamiliar landscape and wildlife, however in the second week the serious business of elimination beings. The celeb who each day least impresses the Rancher are told to skedaddle off the ranch and head back to the city lights. Gradually, numbers dwindle until only the most committed Cowboys and Cowgirls remain and, after two weeks the Ultimate Cowboy or Cowgirl will be named.
