Featuring dramatic footage and first-hand accounts from the only survivor, this film charts the aftermath of the worst aviation disaster in more than a decade.

It’s the air disaster that has horrified the world. On June 12, 2025, Air India Flight 171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner en-route from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick exploded just under a minute after takeoff.

All 241 of the 242 people aboard were killed apart from one man, British passenger Vishwash Kumar Ramesh. Sat in seat 11a, near the emergency exit, he walked away from the scene as the sole survivor.

In the wake of the tragedy, the film explores how one survivor defied the odds and with the help of aviation experts dissects the crash, examining how it could have happened, whilst also scrutinising Boeing’s safety record.
