Sweden’s largest commercial TV channel, TV4, has licenced over 600 hours of programming from independent UK distributor, Orange Smarty.

The bumper sale sees the channel acquire multiple series of ‘A Place in the Sun’. Made for Channel 4 the popular property series is dedicated to helping house hunters find dream holiday homes all over the world

The deal also includes two series of Curve Media’s successful daytime programme ‘Claimed and Shamed’ (produced for BBC1 in the UK), as well as True Vision’s investigative and provocative series ‘Sex in Strange Places’ with Stacey Dooley (3 x 60’ for BBC3) and the sensitive, touching one-off ‘Prison, My Parents & Me’ (BBC1).

Orange Smarty’s Head of Sales, Amy Kemp said the sale was “a natural fit… we pride ourselves in representing quality factual programming that works for a prestigious channel like TV4 and their viewers.”
