The popular long running Channel 4 series continues to sell across the globe with Broadcasters in France, Israel, Australia, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Italy, New Zealand and the USA all acquiring the latest seasons from Orange Smarty, the factual distributor founded by Karen Young in June 2013. Proving to be a schedule winner the Broadcasters continue to show their ongoing commitment to the series and for the first time in the show’s history Orange Smarty has managed to place it in the US with a deal totaling 30 hours. Young who brokered the deal commented ‘getting a series away in the States is always an exciting opportunity, and we’re delighted to see that A Place in the Sun has found a home with the Ovation Channel’.
